Take Care Home Care was born from our shared passion and decades of experience in healthcare — 34 years between us, much of that in home health. After years of witnessing both exceptional care and care that fell short, we came to a simple but powerful realization: great care doesn’t start with policies — it starts with people. So I stepped away from my corporate healthcare career, and together we set out to build something deeply rooted in the community we’ve called home for 15 years — Southside Hampton Roads. We founded Take Care on the belief that if we take care of our caregivers, they’ll take extraordinary care of your loved ones. That’s why we call them Joygivers — because when they feel seen, supported, and valued, that uniquely human joy flows directly into the lives of the families we serve.
